The BA in Art is an open enrollment program, and can be declared at any time.

Requirements
In order to declare the BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Art, you must:

Every November 30th and March 30th

Requirements
In order to apply for the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Art, you must:

  • Be a declared BA in Art (any emphasis) or admitted BA in K-12 Art Education
  • Complete the following courses:
    • ART 210 – New Genre & Interdisciplinary Projects
    • ART 215 – Painting Fundamentals
    • ART 216 – Ceramics Fundamentals
    • ART 217 – Sculpture Fundamentals
    • ART 220 – Intro to Drawing & Figure Drawing
    • ART 225 – Printmaking Fundamentals
    • ART 260 – Photography Fundamentals
    • ART 320 – 20th Century Art and Theory

Application

The application includes:

  • Identifying information
  • Academic standing questionnaire
  • Name of Faculty Advisor of choice
  • Letter of Intent
  • MyMap Progress report
  • Headshot or recent photo of self
  • Portfolio containing 15-20 works of art, indicating a strong personal voice

BA : K-12 ART EDUCATION APPLICATION

Deadline
Application is completed as part of the coursework in ARTED 276
