TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES
The Department of Art's tech resources provide current Department of Art students and faculty with a broad set of tools for artmaking, including photo and video equipment, access to 3D printers, laser cutters, a CNC router, and Risograph printing. Training on all equipment is required, and provided upon request.
Technology Checkout System
Location: ARTS 4208
The Tech Checkout system supports Department of Art students working in photography, video, sound, and new genres with short-term loans of equipment. Checkout access is managed by the 2D Stockroom staff and student employees, and is reliant on their open hours.
Digital 3D Tools
Location: ARTS 4141
The Digital 3D tools include laser cutters, 3D printers and a CNC router, and require specialized training which is provided in our Digital 3D Course, offered each Winter semester. Use the links below to set up an appointment or pay for printing materials.
Risograph Printing
Location: ARTS 4210
Supervision by a member of faculty or the Digital Tech Specialist is required to use the Risograph printer. Paper is available for purchase in the 2D Stockroom. The Department of Art's Risograph printer has several available color options; Bright Red, Flo Pink, Melon, Yellow, Light Lime, Sea Foam, Emerald, Cornflower, Blue, Plum, Flat Gold, and HD Black.
