Following an awards show in which $170,000 was given to students in awards and scholarships, attendees viewed art exhibited in the annual student show and observed the personal workspaces of BFA and MFA students during Open Studios.
Awards
During the awards show, department faculty presented outstanding senior awards, open studio awards, endowment scholarships, and talent awards
In total, more than 80 scholarships and awards were granted by the Art Department, funded by the university and generous donors. Congratulations to all student recipients!
Open Studios
Open Studios takes place at the end of every fall and winter semester, and serves as an opportunity for BFA and MFA students to open their studios and show their work to fellow students and the greater community. Community members and students from across the campus have the opportunity to talk with the art students in their studios and see the exciting work they are making.
